Oh, so because the Mozambique thing didn't work out...

Dublin, Ireland

We decided to go to Dublin, Ireland.

Yes, I’m crazy! Although...tell me if you don’t think this is inspired...

Our friend whom we stayed with in Ireland last year emailed me and said something along the lines of...

“Why don’t you guys come over for a last pre-babies holiday? We can go to restaurants, hang out around here and just relax?”

I replied back and said something like, “you are CRAZY lol” but when I got home, I mentioned it to Dion and suddenly we both went quiet, looked at each other and said, “you know, that’s really not a bad idea...but NO, we need to be responsible”

Well, the next morning, I decided to check flights on http://flightcentre.co.za and saw that there were specials on Etihad Airlines flying from Jhb to Dublin.

I phoned up our travel agent and while we had to pay a bit more for the Abu Dabi – Dublin leg of the journey, it was still VERY reasonable.

So then I phoned Dion who does NOT like sudden decisions (something I excel at J) and after checking our finances, told me to check with the doctor.

I emailed the doc who got back to me the next day and told me IF I wear orthopaedic stockings (to prevent varicose veins) and walk up and down during the flights, THEN it would be okay.

I checked with our friend again if he was serious and sure he wanted us there …he was :)

And that was all I needed to properly book and pay for the flights.

I’ve already reserved window and aisle seats on all four legs of the flight with a customer service rep from Etihad Airlines called Justin who was OUTSTANDING on the telephone.

So we are flying out on the 26th April. Can’t WAIT!

There's no sign of autumn in Johannesburg

We've had unseasonably warm weather in Johannesburg, so much so that I'm still wearing short-sleeved T-shirts in APRIL!

This is unheard of - I usually have my winter clothes well worn-in by now and my electric blanket on every night.

My love of winter is very well-known but this weather's been very pleasant so I'm actually enjoying it.

This afternoon after arriving home from work I couldn't help going into the street to take a few pictures.

Our neighbour opposite's beautiful Bougainvillea. At our previous house our entire driveway was framed with this stuff - gorgeous! but a huge schlep when those beautiful pink flowers fall on the driveway and have to be constantly swept up (as you know I hate a mess).

looking down the street

and up the street

And then I had to stop because the security guard was giving me funny looks.

Is it really that weird to take pics of the blue skies and the light?!

It’s allowed me to have a very successful business while working only 15-20 hours per week. I love that her techniques have given me the freedom to spend time with my son and husband.

Thanks to her business organizing strategies I have doubled my productivity which has in turn doubled my business income.

Thanks Marcia for all that you do!” jenniferhaubein_new.jpgJennifer Haubein

Why the Gold VIP Inner Circle?

I’m glad you asked.

You see, my own business grew by nearly 200% in 2007 and again in 2008 because of 3 key components, and I’d like to help you do the same.

Download the MP3 audio of the preview call here (7.17MB)

So what are these 3 components?

1. I hired a coach for accountability

I’d been working with an accountability partner for some time so I knew the power in having someone to support you.

However, when I started paying for additional coaching, I saw even greater results. You see, we always value more what we pay for, and knowing that I was forking over my hard-earned cash every month made me do all my work.

Also, hiring a coach for me helped me get specific how-to information and cut out a lot of time wasting because she’d been there and done that, so I didn’t have to.

When I said “I want to do x”, I didn’t have to start researching from scratch; instead, she said, “this is what you do, in this order”.

"In just 3 weeks of working with you, I increased my rates by 25%.

This could be you.

2. I set juicy goals with deadlines

We’ve all heard it said that unless your goals have deadlines, they’re just wishes. That’s true.

I’ve been a goal setter (and, more importantly, a goal getter) since 1998 so I know the power of goal-setting from personal experience.

When I started setting really juicy goals with firm deadlines, I started getting really juicy results. It actually makes sense; doesn’t it?

So who better to teach you how to do the same?
"After my sessions with you, the overwhelm is gone and I am motivated and focussed."

Imagine what you could accomplish if you could get more focussed?

3. I surrounded myself with like-minded individuals

I’m a very social person so I like chatting to people. But what happened when those people are exactly like you – who also want to succeed and achieve?

Well, a powerful thing happens – you start spurring one another on to even greater things.

When I joined some inner circle memberships, I started creating strategic relationships with colleagues. So suddenly when I said I want to grow my mailing list by x number of subscribers, I wasn’t surrounded by naysayers. I got emails and messages saying this could help you, let’s do this together, etc.

And so the Gold VIP Inner Circle membership club was born.

You see, I have people email me who say they'd love to coach with me but they don't have the budget for my typical one-on-one coaching fees. This way, you can get resources AND coaching at a price that's affordable for any pocket!

"You helped me see myself as the person I want to be. My dreams are now possibilities."

Danel Bester

16 weeks - this is my Preggi Belli gear

I am a lazy, lazy blogger!

So, baby updates. We had our 16-week scan and only one baby was prepared to show us the goods. So now we wait to see the other one's sex next week.

I actually feel sorry for the doctor having to deal with me.

I heard through the grapevine that my getting-me-pregnant doctor said to a friend of mine, "Marcia's the most organised patient I've ever had"

Oops! I think it's because I whip out my green notebook and start firing those questions at them :)

Anywayyyy, I asked the new guy about Mozambique and he was Not Keen.

Mozambique is malaria country and malaria attacks the placenta very quickly which is not good for babies.

So, while it would have been lovely to visit our friends Ali & Rico, it will just have to wait because I won't do anything to put the babies in danger.
