5 things I dig about...Jesus

I'm pleased that Coach Jen tagged me for John Smulo's meme because secretly, I've been hoping someone would tag me :-) Thanks Jen.

Here's how it works:
Those tagged will:
  • share five things they dig about Jesus,
  • tag five people, and
  • leave a link to their meme in the comment section of this post so everyone can keep track of what’s been posted.
  1. He is not boring, but is a technicolour God. John 10:10 I have come that they might have life and have it more abundantly. When I read this scripture, I think bright lights, sparkles, lots of colour. It amazes me when people think boring, don't you? :-)
  2. He cares about the little things that matter to me, like finding a parking spot near the entrance when I am running a bit late.
  3. I have freedom in Him.
  4. He wants a relationship with little old me. Me!
  5. I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Everything that is weird or wonderful about me is exactly how He designed me to be. When I think about that, it still blows my mind.
Most bloggers have already been tagged but let's see - I tag Laura and Michelle.

I love your list!! God is NOT boring! He is anything but that!! And I love it when He shows me that He's in the details. AND, I love that scripture that tells me I'm wonderfully made. I have to reflect on that sometimes when people think I'm weird. I'm just who God made me, and He loves me!
On a related note, I got a comment on my list about a secret rapture from a space alien--WHATEVER!! I just deleted my first comment ever!

I'm very glad you enjoyed my list! You are right - you are not weird and neither am I :-)

You sound just a bit weird. Do you honestly believe if there was a god that he would take the time to care that you got a good parking spot? That is a bit self centered isn't it. It is a shame you can't feel that you are wonderfully made without believing in a myth.

Dear Anonymous

I know you didn't mean it as a compliment but I take the weirdness as one.

Yes, I do honestly believe that God is in the details. The Bible says that the very hairs on our head are numbered - He knows everything and is interested in every single aspect of our lives. Not only mine, but yours too.

The Bible is not a myth; I really am sorry you feel like that. And I do know that I'm wonderfully made.

Thanks for sharing and have a great day!

Oh yes God most certainly does care about the details. He is an awesome God!!

Great list Marcia. I'm not sure I'll be able to get to the tag before I leave for holidays though. I'm going nutso. Thanks for reminding me about your travel checklist....perfect!!

Thank goodness that God cares about the little things and sees me through it all! God is a good, loving, perfect God from whom ALL blessings flow, forever and amen!

I'd rather be a fool for Jesus than a fool for man!

Great post Marcia.
