Ali's meme on alternate careers

Ali has a fun meme going on.

Here is how to play:

If you had the opportunity to do a 1-year internship in a company or field completely unrelated to your current career or specialty, what would be your top 5 choices?

Mine are:

  1. Producer on Oprah or Dr Phil - controlling all the segments, video clips, order of guests - yum!
  2. Cruise director - holiday with work, what more could I want
  3. Talk show host - put my big mouth and curiosity to good use
  4. Organise a big event like a big Christian conference with thousands of delegates, guest speakers, lots of food, details, etc.
  5. Travelling motivational speaker (this is a bit of cheating because this is linked to what I currently do, except for the travelling part)
  6. Bonus - buyer for a stationery chain store (hmmm, getting to choose paper, pens, notebooks, etc. Heaven)

Edited to add: Dion reminded me that I'd make an excellent prosecutor. I used to want to be Helen Gamble in The Practice. Remember Bobby Donnell saying, "Lucy, in my office!" More quotes

So what are your 5 alternate careers?

Ali, it really was a lot of fun to dream out loud on the internet!

I'm tagging Coach Jen, Karen, Annie, Suzanne and YOU. If you're reading and you don't have a blog, leave your careers in the comments.

Oh fun. I'll work on it tomorrow.
Yes, green is my fav. Is it yours too?

Not really, Annie, but that particular green in a bag and wallet is just stunning. Usually I like red bags best :)

These are all so fitting - you must be organized and motivated for all of the careers you listed. Why am I not at all surprised? :)

I say ditto to the stationery store buyer. I love pens and paper.

Wow, what an interesting meme. That is going to be really hard for me, believe it or not. But, I'll take the weekend to think on it, and post it next week. :) Today is my 100 things!!!

Oh my you are an ambitious girl aren't you! I love to organize but I don't so much enjoy organizing events. Do you know other than being a professional organizer I have no idea what else I'd like to do. Hmmmmm.....
